  When I first started collecting Pokémon cards with my son in 2021, I assumed that card shops were always owned by people who were, at least most of the time, surly and condescending. That just seemed to be the price of admission. After steadily coming to Refined with my son for six months, I've realized: You can have a great store and selection, AND have gracious owners too! Refined has consistently been a welcoming place where the owners and employees always treat me and my son with kindness and excellent service.   After exploring a bunch of Local Game Stores in the Toledo Area, I can say that this is one of the best locations. Store looks great outside and in. As a player they provide enough space while also keeping the regular shopping customer in mind. Product moderately priced, singles were on par, and of course the staff was friendly and as helpful as could be. If i lived in Toledo, i would be a regular at this store.

  Enjoy checking out new shops from time to time. Saw Refined had recently reopened after construction & figured I’d go see what they have been up to since I last visited 4 years ago. Seem to still have a great community of players & it is nice seeing a shop focus on the actual players of the game. Singles are very well priced, but their sealed product was significantly overpriced above market for a shop focused on getting cards into gamers hands with purchase limits. A DR booster box for 425? Tough to pay a $50 premium on that just to support “local”. This is only my opinion & personal experi
