TJ and the staff here are awesome. I've been trying to get my wife into Warhammer for a while with no luck, but after spending some time in the store, she was willing to try it out and she actually enjoyed putting the character's together. Im not sure how TJ has so much knowledge of everything in the store, but man hes good at what he does.

Excellent place for anyone looking for war gaming games and minis. Unfortunately, I'm from Kentucky and can't have this place as my primary hobby shop. Staff are great and seem to have a wonderful community spirit for the hobby. Also, a good selection for the R/C hobbyists. If you live within a 2 hour drive I would suggest you make a trip and have a great conversation with the staff.

In a world of cookie-cutter clones—where everyone's got the same latte order and existential crisis—Hangar 18 Hobbies is the rebel yell. Forget the nose rings and regretful tattoos; Walk in, and the homogeneous haze lifts: The staff? Some nice guysl guide you from "What's a servo?" to " A NX8+" without a hint of judgment. And oh, the cat—rules the roost Get a freaking hobby here, folks. It's not just a store; it's your ticket to being actually different. Five stars, zero regrets. Fly high, Cary!

Had a great experience here. The environment is cool, model planes hanging from the ceiling and built models on display. They have a sizable selection of Gundam models, paint, brushes, and tools. Staff is extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. I have yet to join any events, but they seem fun. They have large tables where people can build models or game. Likely an unreasonable suggestion, but it would be cool if they had a book of gundam kit bashes (which parts of what kits were used, paints, etc) that people could add to. Would love to make unique customs others desi

It's not just a great hobby store, it's a phenomenal community as well. The staff are super helpful and fun to hang out with, and the people there are great. If you're looking to get into Tabletop wargaming, such as Warhammer, Battletech, etc. I can't recommend them enough. Also great for MTG, hobbying supplies, and many other things. Probably the only thing I wish is that the store was bigger, but it's a small gripe. Highly recommend! Oh and Sugar Koi is next door, and they're awesome.

My son has expressed considerable satisfaction with this establishment. The ambiance is notably appealing, and the merchandise selection features unique and exotic items. Furthermore, the staff consistently provides excellent service, readily addressing inquiries and offering informative classes. The pricing structure is reasonable, contributing to an overall positive experience. My son has conveyed his hope for the continued operation of this establishment.

Just moved to the area and was looking for a new hobby shop. I build military plastic models. This place has great paints, brushes and diorama supplies etc. The military plastic model selection is not huge but it is adequate and has the recent releases from Tamiya and AFV. All priced appropriately. There is a ton of Warhammer and RC stuff. Also saw some model rocket stuff and even pine wood derby stuff. Staff was very helpful. I went at 4pm on a Sunday and the place had 30 people in it doing warhammer and assembling those Japanese battle robots. Definitely my go to place now.

I just started getting into painting minis a little over a month ago, and when I went into the store with my buddy, I had no idea what I was doing or what I was looking for. A member of the staff (I’m sorry I forgot his name) noticed this and took time out of his day to give me advice on what was necessary for what I was trying to paint. Exceptional store and staff and I would highly recommend for anyone getting into any hobbies. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It makes the 45 minute drive to and back worth it.
