  Community. This is not a brick and mortar store in the traditional sense of things. Sure, they have a great selection of board games, TTRPGs, Star Wars materials, and general 'geek culture' items that will make everyone's inner geek/nerd/dork squeal with happiness, but it is the community that the venue has fostered and that has grown that separates the Galaxy Game Cafe apart from the rest of the FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store) in the Sacramento Metro Area.   We attended a hosted event for a birthday party here and it was great! Veronica taught us all the games and managed the rules for us. We had so much fun playing games without worrying about knowing all the logistics. We had Chinese food catered in from a place a few doors down and it was perfect. It is an inviting place with a good selection of games and our 3 year old played for 3 hours with the big selection of toys they had in the family area.   Everyone here is great. Staff, customers and gamers alike. Everyone is here for fun. Especially, the Blood on the Clocktower crew (in my [completely unbiased, totally objective] opinion). They have tons of events—special and ongoing—for whatever suits your fancy. Lots of tables and space and a grand selection of games of all sorts to choose from.   We love Galaxy Game Cafe! We have a family membership and we go almost every Friday night. The kids love playing Blood on the Clocktower with the crew, and my husband and I play board games with great people we've met at the game store. My 10-year-old also loves the kids D&D on Wednesdays with Andy. We drive across town 2-3 times a week to enjoy all the games and events at Galaxy Game Cafe. The owners and staff are wonderful.
