Amazing local comic shop with an amazing selection and a variety for all interests. I took my 10 year old son and we browsed for over an hour. The gentleman working on Saturday was incredibly helpful and very kind! He chatted with us for a long while and helped us move our pulls over. We were ordering them from an online retailer but decided to switch them here after such a great experience. We'll be coming here very regularly from now on! Looking forward to discovering new things.

Went for the first time today and absolutely loved it! The staff was not only very helpful, but also kind and friendly. They gave my friend and I great advice on which comics were the best. I got three new releases and one vintage comic for about $20, which is less than I was expecting to pay, so they give you a good deal here! They also have some really nice collectibles and signed comics for sale. All in all, I will definitely be coming back.

Love having a local comic shop right in Fuquay! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, very clean inside, and enough comics to get lost for hours

Owner was patient and generous with his time. It was a pleasure to support a local business. My nephews and I enjoyed our visit so much that my nephew asked to leave a review for the store. He wanted to share his message: I like this place because it has a big option of books. The owner of the store helped me a lot. He helped me find the perfect book, it is called "What If?" I hope to visit everytime I come to town. Thanks a lot!!!

I drive 45 minutes every week just to go here rather than any of the other comic stores near me. The owner, Russ, is a great guy who created a space that reminds me of the comic stores I grew up going to in the 90s and early 00s, before it became about selling products over finding commonality in the love of the stories. Yellow Bird is a fun place to grab new books from the clean and organized racks, or go digging through long boxes for old issues, some of which are insanely rare. They also have some toys of various nature, including oldies from when I was a little kid. The other guys that wor

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “The Comic Store That Feels Like a Side Quest You Actually Want” Walking into Yellow Bird Comics feels like entering the multiverse… but one where everyone’s cooler, funnier, and somehow knows way too much about Spider-Man lore. The moment you open the door, you’re hit with that sweet, nostalgic comic-book smell — a perfect blend of plastic sleeves, paper ink, and childhood dreams. I swear it should be bottled as cologne: “Eau de Superhero.” The owner? Bro’s got main character energy. Knows every backstory, crossover, and alternate timeline like he’s personally lived in the Marvel uni

Out of all the comic shops in the greater area, this is by far the best and most organized when it comes to actually separating the various legacy titles / runs that seem to get renumbered every other year or two. The owner and staff are engaging, friendly and helpful, making you feel welcomed even if it's your first time stopping in. They have one of the best, if not the best selection of quality silver and copper age runs at reasonable / fair prices that are getting harder to find in retail shops. If you're in the area, this is definitely a classic comic shop to swing on by and pick up a rar
