This is actually the B E S T store for cards, collectibles, and all-around welcoming environment when it comes to positive environments in the nerd-space. They do a little bit of everything, and are welcoming to new faces in all fandoms. If you're looking for the best small-business to support in town, this is it! I'm particularly a huge fan of their pricing when it comes to Pokemon, they do not price-gouge like a lot of other stores do to chase the Poke-Hype, and are incredibly fair with their trade-ins, they have great promos for that as well! Shout out to the entire team, Julia has made th

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Paper Tiger today! In terms of inventory, they had a ton of Pokemon cards. Their bulk cards are organized alphabetically and they have a whole wall of them. Then they have a pretty decent selection of $1 cards. Their binders are well-organized and have really great cards between $2-20. And then their superb cards in the cases are, of course, quite pricey, but the selection was good. But even more than the selection, we were impressed with the service! At first, we weren't sure if we were going to be a burden for a busy store, and we didn'

Paper Tiger is my go-to place for Pokémon cards. The prices are consistent, the variety is great.. whether you’re a casual collector or deep into the hobby there’s always something new to check out, even if you’re in once a week 😅 They have a ton of Magic cards as well, and collectibles. A huge shoutout to Josh, who we (my husband and I are both Pokemon cards collectors) usually see when we come in. He’s awesome, super knowledgeable and always happy to chat Pokémon or help us find exactly what we’re looking for. He really makes the experience enjoyable and keeps us coming back! Highly recom

Legit, best card store in RVA. The employees are great, I often go there just to chat with them for a while. They are passionate about cards, both well established games and newcomers that seem interesting. I've also seen them offer advice to newer players in lieu of making a quick buck off them (ie suggesting they hold onto cards that are likely to increase in value). Those are the kinds of actions that lead to life long customers. The regulars are some of the nicest players you'll ever meet. The events have great prize support, and oftentimes free food. They host events for a wide vari

Great store! Staff are friendly and helpful. They have tons of Magic, pokemon and other game cards. There is small but good selection of Manga and whatever they don't have they can order for you. They also have Funko pops and other figures from TV shows, movies anime, comics and more. They carry a good selection of comic books as well! I come here once every couple of months to see their new inventory and always leave with something! Im always telling people about this store. Its a great place to pick up a gift for a friend! Parking is a but limited and is especially tougg when they have ev

Beautiful shop with lots of single cards! Decent amount of packs and sealed products. No digimon unfortunately. But they have figures, comics, pop, even some video games! Some prices for stuff are above market though. But they do have a $1 card bin which is cool. The only thing that sucks is none of the cards in the binders have prices. So you have to take out every card you’re interested in and give it to the employee so they can look it up and price it. Not a great shopping experience for singles. Tedious and time consuming. I ended up buying much less stuff because of this. But still a much

This store is AMAZING! Thank you to Julia for making this one of the best spaces to feel accepted, to have fun, and not deal with the usual trappings of Magic player weirdness. Thank you Ripley for being super kind and always welcoming when I come to the store. Thank you Jason for always having the patience to explain trades and how the life-cycle actually works for trades. Thank you Josh for always bringing the humor with the One Piece and explaining how that card game works. Thank you Sebastian for being Sebastian, this team is definitely top-tier when it comes to customer service, and they

Love the shop and the clean, welcoming environment. I took my 12 year old son for commander night tonight, and we had a blast - thanks to Sebastian! Thanks for making my son's night by filling out our pod. It was really nice to have a friendly person jump in and be a good example and role model for my boy. We frequent the shop, and will be back again!
