  The owner is just absolutely amazing. Has Pokémon trading card nights. And Pokémon game nights. And is just overall a great guy. The store on the other hand is wonderfully crazy nostalgia. Everything that will bring you back to your childhood and also new stuff. From toy's like transformers and gi Joe's to every kind of video game you can think of. This place has it all. One stop shop for the collector. P.S. the trading cards in this place takes up several cases, you will find what you are looking for.

  Great little hobby shop awesome atmosphere. Kenny is always trying to do stuff to help the smaller business around Dickson. He also makes my boys feel special everytime they come into his store. He always asks to see what they pull out of pack. Anytime they pull something good, the first they say is. We have to go show Kenny!.

  I honestly like this store a lot and the environment is always fulfilling when you enter, they seem to have everything you want . However after being a customer of this store for 2 years it seems they never have the new stuff and i end up going to amazon or Walmart. If you go to this store it’s going to be more likely than not a great experience. Just don’t expect to have access to new items.   Great local hobby and game shop with tons of retro games, systems, comics, trading cards, magic the gathering, pokemon, funko pops, loungefly backpacks, sports cards and so much more! They have events every week for all ages and friendly helpful staff! They have a big game-room in the back with tables and tvs for the events and birthday/LAN parties. They are located at their new spot in historic downtown Dickson, TN on south main street across the railway tracks! Open all week and late on the weekend!   I am impressed with New Wave hobbies and their new location here, really nice selection of vintage and newer action figures, Funko pops, and a whole lot more! There's an expansive range of trading cards and Pokemon sets. Star wars, vintage GI Joe vehicles and figures, transformers, and more await you. The proprietor Kenny runs a clean and honest shop.   I have been going to New Wave Hobbies for years now! We have enjoyed Pokémon night and just the friendships we have built with the employees. Kenny and Benjamin have always made my kids welcome and Tiffany who was there formerly too!   New Wave Hobbies is a five star establishment because of the owner and his employees. Everyone does a wonderful job creating a welcoming and fun environment. I'm with Kenny at the shop many days and I see how he interacts with everyone. He makes special effort to connect with every kid that comes in. He takes extra time to sometimes have them figure the math for their change, he listens to what they've got going on in life, he looks through their collections and makes all feel welcome.
