I rented the Rose room to celebrate my birthday. We played an escape room puzzle game that I purchased in the store. The room is very clean and spacious and has a TV so you can put on music or video to enhance your game experience. QR code for ordering food makes separating tabs very easy. All of the staff that helped us tonight were so friendly. The food and drinks came out fast and everything was delicious. I would absolutely book a room here again! It was such a great experience.

We couldn't rave any more about Mox's Boarding House than we already do. This was an absolute gem of a find while visiting Portland. We are BIG board game people and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the service, the food, and the drinks. Everything was stellar. Though it's a gaming-while-you-eat atmosphere, it never felt unsanitary. We were in town for a little over a week, but made it a point to visit Mox's a couple of times before we left to fly back to the east coast. 2 years later and we STILL rave about this place and talk about going to OR or WA again just to visit, haha. 10/10. Mox Boarding House is an excellent place to hang out, and I love how it acts a community space for visitors to play board games in a public setting, allowing for people to connect with others in a unique way. At the same time it's a restaurant that serves delicious (though expensive) food and drinks to enjoy while playing said games. I would highly recommend their chicken strips, or their macaroni and cheese. They also have good beverages. You could honestly come just for the menu without playing games, though I believe you'd be missing part of the experience. The employees provide great cust

My first time there-excellent customer service and food, both at the game store and restaurant. The servers were polite and knowledgeable, and after taking their suggestions-I was really happy. I got the Tutti-Frutti cocktail 🍹 that did not disappoint; their signature Mox burger, and a delicious deserts -Tiramisu & Blueberry 🫐 cobbler. I highly recommend this place for a family dinner and game.

I simply cannot say enough great things about this place. What a cool concept! This place’s entrance is at their game store, but you can also borrow board games while you’re eating/drinking in the dining area. Everyone is beyond welcoming and the food and drinks were phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back here!

A neat place to try learn about new board games and try new ones. Tables are primarily first come first serve. Rooms can be reserved for more privacy. There is also a restaurant attached, but a little pricy for what it is, but you can bring the board game to the restaurant side and play while eating. The only thing is you will need to wait for a table to open. You can also place and pay your order through the phone so you can continue playing. Thankfully, to try a board game it is free and you can stay as long as you want. They have a great collection of games to try and even the workers can t

A wonderful experience! I got the mojo grilled chicken and blackberry mead since I wasn’t feeling too well and both were easy on my stomach while also being delightfully delicious! The mead was very sweet and great to drink, and the chicken sandwich was filling! My friends really enjoyed the gluten free and vegan options here, and most of the menu can be made gluten free, which is great! The menu is really inclusive if you have dietary restrictions which is pretty great. But the best part was being able to rent a board game to play with friends at the restaurant, it was super fun to have a
