This is where my step son plays Magic the Gathering and buys cards. He likes it a lot. My husband likes it too when he goes. There are a lot of old school game things to purchase as well. The people who work there are very nice and well informed. I definitely recommend it if Magic is your vibe!!!

What a great shop! Chatted up the guys that run it and they are all great! Good variety of paint brands ranging from The Army Painter, Citadel, Vallejo, Ak, and more! Nice selection of things you'd need to paint a mini (brushes, debris for your bases, etc). They do also sell some model kits if that's what you're looking for but I think their bread and butter is in supplying mini enthusiast with painting materials. Very much geared towards War Games! They also host nights to play things like warhammer Fairly priced too!

Twice a year, Maplewood Hobby hosts an auction that offers amazing bargains for aficionados of military miniatures and war games. On Friday nights, the store stays open late to host groups of Battletech and Warhammer gamers. How do I know all this? I have a husband who grew up with these interests, and now he has shared them with our son. It turns out that all I had to do to get my kid excited about family fencing practice was join a club around the corner from the premier gaming store in New Jersey.

Though it seems a bit cramped at times this small local gaming store has two floors to meet up with your gaming buddies. Has varied pieces of terrain and quite a few tables to play on. Rich is very knowledgeable when it comes to the hobby and will gladly suggest what he thinks is the best tool for your hobby needs even if there is something more expensive.

Nice store with Warhammer 40k tables and magic the gathering upstairs! The players are helpful and friendly. Casual play is encouraging and other players will help you with your deck and gameplay if you are newer to the game! 10/10

Took a basic 60 minute Airbrushing course, well worth the money I spent, teacher was very knowledgeable. In the course he has you handle an airbrush and he explained what you should be looking for and how to correct any mistakes. I would highly recommend taking this course if you're a beginner at Airbrushing.

Come here now and again. He's predominantly a wargame hobby shop which is good if you are into wargames, I was when I was younger, no time at this point. Not much in the way of model kits itself but plenty of wargaming figures and related stuff. Disorganized in some areas but overall a decent visit. Recommend for wargaming items.

Selection’s good in terms of paints and minis and general hobby supplies. It’s a very old school store, with the attendant clutter, but that’s really its charm. I won’t say that the store isn’t friendly, because sometimes I’ll go in and have lovely conversations, but I’ve been more or less ignored. I don’t spend enough time there to say for sure, but it feels like I’m imposing on a boys club that I don’t really know how to get in. It’s fine, and I’m glad it’s there as a convenient place to buy hobby stuff, but the inconsistent vibe knocks a star off.
