"Very nice folks to deal with, and great product variety. Cheaper price for the same product compared to a store in town that is themed around haunted things, cafes and games."

On a recent out of town trip, I took my son to check for Pokemon cards at Gryphon. They had a very small selection but it was well presented and the staff was very friendly. They informed me that most of their singles had been purchased earlier in the week which is why the selection was lacking. We did end up getting a few cool cards, the staff was super sweet to my child and I appreciated the store for its selection in other areas such as games!

I hadn’t been in since the change over, but I gotta say I do love the new store layout, the older gentleman on staff was super pleasant, and I was really happy to talk with him for the seconds I did, unfortunately, the younger staff members were very rude and very impatient to the person I was with and me. I would love to see the store succeed in the future, but if their staff is going to have attitudes about simple questions, then I won’t be returning.

Lot of cool stuff in the store but ran into issue with WOTC pokemon singles pricing. Couple cards were priced at 1st edition price even though they were unlimited and employee working was unwilling to look up pricing and just seemed uninterested in talking at all. Rest of the store is pretty cool so still worth taking a looking at other merchandise.

Gryphon comics and games or Grand slam is a shell of what it used to be. It had game night(s) where people could rent a table and play D&D, Pathfinder, Warhammer, etc. They also prearranged D&D one shots you could pay 5 bucks and play till 9 or 10pm. Early afternoon was magic or Pokemon then D&D at night. Every weekend the gaming tables were full. The cafe however was always hit or miss. In that sometimes they were out of what you wanted but the in general it was reasonably priced and decent snack food. Now, they open at 11 am close at four, six or eight depending on the day. Thus open for 5

5/30/22-This is a nice little comic and game store. They have a lot of comics in the back in long boxes. I do feel though that this store doesn't utilize the space as they could. They could jam pack it with so much more products to appeal to more demographics. Even with that they do a lot of cool stuff and have a great Free Comicbook Day each year. There is also a coffee shop built into the front, but it is a different business.

Overall it was good. Counter guy was nice and informative but over all the store look run down it didn't give me the excitement of wanting to buy stuff but I end up buying one anyway due to the counter guy?

I've been to nearly every game store in Northern Colorado even some real terrible ones with highly insulting bigoted people but I've never had an employee raise their voice to me after a mild disagreement in which they gave repeated false information with increasing hostility when I in confusion verified my point. My party after removing me mid panic attack has made me promise not to return. As a side note they informed me they are intending a 30% increase to their magic prices
