Game Kastle Review Located in the heart of College Park Marketplace, right next to Starbucks, Game Kastle is a haven for card game enthusiasts. The atmosphere is welcoming, with a sense of excitement that fills the space. Every day offers unique activities, all centered around the joy of card games—whether it’s strategy, luck, or just pure fun. I had the pleasure of speaking with the manager, and their enthusiasm for the community and events was palpable. As a parent, I couldn’t help but feel that this is the kind of place I’d love to bring my son to experience. It’s a perfect spot for kids

Awesome place to play card games like Magic the Gathering, meet with friends to play DnD, or play tabletop wargames and skirmish games like 40k, AoS, Conquest, Trench Crusade, or Infinity. I used to drive an hour from Virginia to play here because I enjoyed the store and community so much.

I love this location so much. Everyone is so welcoming and the people who go there are part of a fantastic community. I recently had an odd experience at a pre-release event but Boyd is incredible and made things right. This is definitely our go to game store and we love coming here every weekend and plan to do so as long as we live here.

Don't let the nondescript strip mall location fool you: This is a warm, welcoming space for diverse gamers to enjoy our hobby. There's always an event happening to foster community, learn new games, and meet new people. I also have to give special praise to Boyd, the owner, for lifting up indie games and local game designers. Yes, you can find your D&D 5e books and MTG packs here. But you can also find zines and games that were playtested by local designers right here in this store, because Game Kastle College Park also hosts a monthly meeting of Break My Game. For me that's the entire reason

Simply put Game Kastle in College Park is one of if not the best FLGS in the Washington DC region. The staff is exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and cheerful. I particularly like that the philosophy of the store is leaning into the indie RPG scene so hard - which is like catnip for me. They also have no issues when I ask to order obscure RPGs through them. The store itself has a tremendous amount of personality and character.

I am happy to call Kastle a second space. The staff are always welcoming, willing to answer questions, and definitely nerd out on the cool stuff you also enjoy. Fantastic selection of product, space to play, and tons of events weekly.

Game Kastle is the most welcoming place to play games I've ever been to. The staff are friendly and helpful—you can tell how much enthusiasm they have for the games available to buy and play at the store. GK makes a strong effort to offer so many different events, and there's a regular set of events each week that are free to attend. I always look forward to coming here to play. The community is amazing.

UPDATE: They have Battletech! Super nice and amazing staff. While the locale is not huge, this is the prime example that a great game store doesn't need to huge to be great. Has an amazing gaming area and their collection is varied and has quality stuff. If you are looking for VERY niche stuff like Battletech, you might not find that here, but you can find everything else you can think of. Also, they sell those little hotel chocolates called Andes. 10/10 will be back for dice and chocolate.
