  My husband and I visited this comic shop while we were visiting from out of town and we are adding it to our must-visit list whenever we come back to the area. We both finished collections we’ve been hunting for years! I especially am happy to have found the third McKay Moon Knight graphic novel which is out of print and nearly impossible to find online without a steep price tag. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful too! There is something for everyone at this store!

  If you're looking for a lcs to track down back issues and finish your runs, or grab tpbs new and old, this is the spot. Well stocked & tightly organized. Tommy's a solid dude actively invested in his patrons. His staff is a great group too. Jaylen, Calypso, and John have showed such patience with my many questions (I've just gotten back into comics for the first time in a decade). Calypso is especially knowledgeable and seems to know something about everything regardless of the era, a good go-to person for recommendations.

  This place is great! Very friendly staff, incredible amount of comics, and pretty good prices on most everything. We had come in looking for a specific book, and the owner pulled it out of storage for us the next weekend. It actually ended up being a signed copy that he had purchased for $150 if I recall, but they admitted that price probably wasn’t what we were looking for and offered it to us for only $65 !! Definitely made a repeat customer out of me that day, shoutout to Tommy and all the other lovely employees who helped us out during our visits.

Tommy (the owner) was extremely helpful and kind, working with my teenager to explore additional offerings, check availability of stock, and discuss writers and illustrators. They have an impressive assortment of comics and are extremely knowledgeable. Exactly what you want a comic book store to be.

  Traveling for work and decided to stop by Capitol Comics. I had a great experience! I was greeted as soon as I came in and the gentleman at the counter asked me what I was looking for. He got right to work pulling out comics I might be interested in. I then got the opportunity to meet the owner, Tommy who was super kind and helpful in packaging my purchases so they do not get damaged on the way home. I can’t wait to come back to Raleigh and visit this really cool, shop!
