  Lots of great back issues to look for. Condition is an issue though and many books are placed tightly in long boxes with no protection (bags & boards) leaving them to getting scuffed up and bend badly. Some current stuff but mainly for the major publishers/titles unless you have a pull list. The staff and owner are friendly and willing to help. No negotiations on back issues that I can recall.

  Ideal for anyone who is interested in comics, but is quite new to comics, like myself. For a newbie to comics, this was a perfect launching point. It is welcoming, and doesn't feel overwhelming, while still chock full of organized stuff. Catherine (sp?) was quite kind to me, and patient as I bumbled through what I was looking for. I really wanted comics depicting Echo, as I had recently become interested in this character who is living with special needs. The staff knew exactly which comics I would need.   A very nice comic book store in the Northland near Zona Rosa. They have a selection of new books as well as a wide variety of back-issues from Golden Age to Modern. There are boxes next to the counter which have their most-recent acquisitions, so I suggest checking them often (three boxes were almost all Conan-related today). They also have reprints, TPBs, magazines, and dollar boxes. Today I bought the first issue of Gold Key's Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, as well as an issue of Adventures of the Fly.   This is a great comic book store. New issues, old stock, vintage classics, and graded collector's quality issues. The staff is without exception knowledgeable and passionate. It's worth a visit, don't be intimidated by the nerdiness!

  I visited from out of town. What a great comic shop: TONS of back issues to hunt through, awesome keys up front, and very reasonable prices. And Frank is a blast to talk to. I could have spent all day there. One of the best local shops I’ve ever been to — I can’t wait to visit again the next time I’m in KC!

  This place is a rip-off. The guy running it offers less than 10 cents a copy for back issues in great condition, turns around and sells them for $4 a pop. I get supporting a local store, but a 4000% mark-up is extreme.
